Folding Chair Hire: White, Black and When to Use Each

White folding chairs work for wedding receptions, civil ceremonies, garden parties and outdoor dining — any event where a clean, neutral look is needed. Black folding chairs suit corporate events, evening receptions, awards dinners and branded events where the décor is darker or more formal. Both are £1.65 per chair with no minimum order beyond your delivery postcode's minimum order value.

How many folding chairs do you need

For a seated dinner or reception, order one chair per guest. For a standing ceremony that transitions to a seated dinner, order enough for the largest seated moment — you don't need separate chairs for each stage. For outdoor events where guests are likely to move between seated and standing areas, add 10% to your seated count as a buffer.

Folding chairs stack 8–10 high for storage. A pallet of 100 chairs takes up roughly 1m² of floor space, so storage before and after the event is straightforward even in small venues.

Setup and return

Folding chairs arrive at your venue in stacks on pallets. Your team sets them out — there's no assembly required. At collection, stack them back into their delivery configuration and leave them at the agreed collection point. We do not require chairs to be folded before collection, just stacked.

Combining with tables

Folding chairs pair with 6ft trestle tables (seats 6–8 per side), round tables (seats 8–10), and children's trestle tables for family events. Add a tablecloth to the same order at checkout — white and ivory poly-cotton cloths are available in standard table sizes.

For larger events where you want a more premium look, Chiavari chairs and crossback chairs are available at a higher price point alongside the same table range.
