Fitted tablecloths pull down over the table and stay put during service. Sizes, colours, and when a fitted cloth works better than a draped one.
Fitted tablecloths pull down over the table and secure underneath, giving a tighter finish than a draped cloth. They stay put during service, and the fabric does not hang loose for guests to catch on their chairs.
\n\nOur fitted tablecloths are cut for standard 6ft tables. They are available in black, white, ivory, red, royal blue, navy blue, burgundy, and purple. Because the cloth fits tightly rather than draping, these work best for registration desks, buffet tables, catering stations, and exhibition surfaces where a clean line matters more than a decorative drop. The full range of colours means you can match brand colours for corporate events without relying on draped linen.
\n\nWe also hire stretch tablecloths for poseur tables in black and white. These pull over the table and grip the base, keeping the cloth in position even when guests lean against the table. Poseur tables see a lot of contact at standing receptions and bar areas, so a stretch cloth is more reliable than a draped alternative that will need constant adjusting.
\n\nFor formal dining tables with seated guests, a draped tablecloth in floor-length or half-drop is the standard choice and gives a more elegant result. For functional surfaces such as registration desks, catering stations, exhibition tables, and poseur tables, a fitted cloth stays in place and gives a neater finish through a long event.
\nIf you are ordering linen for both types of surface, contact us and we will make sure you have the right cloth for each table in your order.

Draped tablecloths give a more formal finish at seated dinners. A full floor-length drape on a 6ft round table looks appropriate at a wedding breakfast or gala dinner where the visual is everything. Fitted cloths are rarely used in those settings because the fabric sits too tightly for the aesthetic to work.
For exhibition tables, registration desks, and any setup where equipment or cabling is stored under the table, a fitted cloth is always the correct choice. A draped cloth gets caught on chair legs and equipment. A fitted cloth stays clean and clear.
Order one fitted cloth per table. Unlike draped linen, fitted cloths are size-specific, so confirm exact table dimensions before ordering. A 6ft trestle table needs a 6ft fitted cloth. Using a 5ft cloth on a 6ft table leaves the ends exposed.
If tables are being dressed in different rooms or at staggered times, order 5 to 10% extra to allow for misplacements during setup.
Fitted tablecloths are available in white, black, and ivory. White is standard for registration and exhibition tables. Black suits branded setups where the table serves as a display surface rather than a dining table.
