Product Description

A 1.85m glass-front display fridge holding approximately 250 bottles. Suitable for festival bars, pop-up wine stations, corporate receptions, and any event where chilled drinks need to be displayed and served at volume. Cools to 2°C with consistent temperature maintained by fan-assisted circulation throughout the cabinet. The full-height glass door gives guests clear sight of the selection — useful at self-serve wine and soft drink stations where presentation is part of the service.

When to Use a Display Fridge

• Festival and outdoor bars: A self-contained chilling and display unit requiring only a 13A socket. No plumbing. Staff can restock from behind while guests browse the front without breaking the service flow. The glass door lets customers see and choose their drink without staff needing to open the fridge for every transaction.
• Corporate receptions and product launches: A branded wine or beverage station where presentation matters as much as temperature. The glass front displays the product; the fridge maintains the temperature without ice buckets or manual monitoring throughout the event.
• Pop-up restaurants and street food events: Display cold starters, chilled desserts, or drinks alongside your main offering in a format that matches professional catering standards. Much more visually credible than a camping cool box or domestic fridge.

Setup and Operation

The fridge is delivered ready to use. Plug into a standard 13A socket and allow 2 to 3 hours for the cabinet to reach 2°C before stocking. Fan-assisted cooling circulates air evenly across all shelf levels — bottles at the top reach the same temperature as those on the bottom shelf, which is not the case with non-fan-assisted units where cold air settles at the bottom.

The shelving is adjustable. Shelves reposition to accommodate tall wine bottles, standard cans, or a combination. For a mixed stock of wine and champagne, use the lower shelves for bottles lying flat and the upper shelves for upright bottles. For a soft drink and canned bar, remove a shelf to accommodate 500ml cans on their sides for maximum capacity.

For events with high ambient heat — outdoor summer events, heated marquees, south-facing conservatories — allow additional cool-down time and position the unit away from direct sunlight and significant heat sources. A fridge working against a 30°C ambient temperature takes longer to reach 2°C and may not maintain it under continuous door opening if the ambient conditions are extreme.

Capacity and Sizing

250 bottles assumes standard 75cl wine bottles standing upright on shelves. In practice, a mixed stock of wine, soft drinks, and canned beverages may accommodate more — cans and cartons use shelf space more efficiently than tall bottles. For a seated wedding breakfast of 80 covers with a glass of white wine per person on arrival, you need approximately 13 bottles on display at the start of the reception — a fraction of the fridge's capacity. For a festival bar running continuous service for 300 people over 6 hours, the full 250-bottle capacity allows for a complete pre-filled stock without restocking during service.

For large events requiring more than 250 bottles on display simultaneously, hire two units side by side. The 600mm footprint means two units take up 1.2m of bar space — standard for a fully equipped festival or wedding bar.
