What kinds of wedding chair hire are there?

It doesn't really matter how big your wedding is, the one thing that it will have in common with every other wedding we deliver to is that your guests will need to have somewhere to sit during the wedding meal. We have a wide range of wedding chairs for hire to give you various options for how you want your arrangements to look. Our wooden banqueting chairs are elegantly finished yet are sturdy and comfortable for people to sit on.

Chiavari chairs were originally designed by an Italian cabinet maker in the 19th century as a reworking of a French Empire style and quickly grew in popularity not only for the way they looked but for their comparative sturdiness. These chairs have remained a favourite for weddings and events even now in the 21st century due to their simple elegance and style.

We also stock crossed back chairs, which feature two crossed pieces of wood to make for a strong back. These chairs have a darker oak finish and feature tie-on ivory cushions. Like all of our banqueting chairs, our crossed back chairs are stackable for ease of movement.

Which chair hire is suitable for use outside?

Thanks to the inconsistent weather we enjoy here in the UK, outdoor chair hire has to be more than just comfortable; it has to be durable as well. Unlike banqueting chairs which are made of wood, outdoor chairs for hire tend to be made from materials such as plastic or metal to enable them to be strong enough to handle what the climate can throw at them.

We have two main kinds of outdoor chair hire on offer at Expo Hire. For large events where hundreds and even thousands of people are to be sat outdoors, our folding chairs are perfect. These chairs fold flat to make storage and transport easy, and can be set up quickly to create large seating areas. They are made with metal legs for durability, while their plastic seats are able to withstand rain without an issue.

For smaller events, our aluminium style chairs offer a nicer aesthetic without compromising on durability. These come with seats made from aluminium or specially treated wood and are great for sitting in groups around tables outside. We also offer specialised chairs such as deckchairs and designer tolix chairs which are suitable for outdoor events.

Does Expo Hire offer designer chair hire?

Sometimes, you need to go that little step further when it comes to chair hire. If your event demands the very best in looks, then hiring a chair from one of our designer ranges is almost certainly the way to go. We have several ranges of designer chair hire at Expo Hire, inspired by some of the great chair designs of the 20th century.

Our Eames range of chair hire takes its inspiration from the DSR side chair and DAR arm chair which were designed by Charles Eames in 1948. The seat of chair is made from comfortable polypropylene plastic, while the legs are made in the classic Eiffel style for strength. We also feature chairs inspired by Tolix and the Barcelona Chair designed by Mies van der Rohe.

We also offer swivel chairs made in the "New Moon" style chair which are great for exhibitions and trade shows. These chairs have a comfortable back piece to support the lumbar, and have a full 360 degree swivel.

How does delivery of chair hire work?

All of our chairs are cleaned and checked prior to dispatch. Wherever possible they come stacked up making them easy to store, and in the case of banqueting chairs with the seat pads neatly bagged up ready.
