Gel fuel canisters are required to run chafing dishes, providing 2 to 3 hours of heat per canister. Expo Hire hires gel fuel as an add-on to chafing dish hire, so all fuel can be delivered and collected in the same run as the dishes.
Chafing fuel is needed whenever chafing dishes are hired. The standard for any event using chafing dishes is 2 canisters per dish per service period of up to 4 hours. For events with a longer service window or multiple sittings, additional canisters will be required.
Gel fuel is not available at most venues, so ordering sufficient quantities with your equipment hire is important to avoid running short during service.
Always ordered alongside chafing dishes. For a full temporary catering setup, combine with cooking equipment and serving utensils. Fuel is also used with warming trays and other bain-marie equipment in the same range.
Expo Hire supplies chafing fuel as part of the same hire order as chafing dishes. We recommend ordering at least 2 canisters per dish, plus a few spares for extended service periods or a second sitting.
