Event organisers and professional caterers hire commercial appliances for many events to produce high volumes of food away from their permanent kitchens. This equipment must withstand constant use, deliver consistent cooking performance, and integrate into various kitchen layouts. Choosing the correct items ensures kitchen staff can prepare menus and maintain service standards for guests.

Commercial Ovens and Ranges

Expo Hire supplies a selection of commercial ovens and cookers. You can hire dedicated convection ovens, which use forced air circulation to cook food with even results. These ovens suit baking, roasting meats, or holding food at consistent temperatures. Our electric convection ovens require a 13 amp power supply and offer interiors easy to clean. For more versatile cooking, consider a four-burner gas range with an integrated oven. These units provide multiple hob rings on top for boiling or simmering, alongside a generous oven compartment for roasting or baking. Gas ranges connect to standard propane gas bottles, making them suitable for outdoor events or locations without a robust electrical supply. The oven compartment holds two standard 1/1 gastronorm trays. For operations needing a large oven capacity without hobs, commercial fan-assisted ovens offer a large internal space, able to accommodate four 1/1 GN trays.

Frying, Grilling, and Specialist Heating

For high-volume frying, Expo Hire offers twin-basket deep fat fryers. Each fryer features two independent 8-litre oil capacity baskets. This allows cooking of different items at the same time, such as chips and onion rings, without flavour transfer. The fryers have thermostatic controls that manage temperature with accuracy and safety cut-outs to prevent overheating. Power consumption for a twin-basket fryer is 2 x 13 amp plugs.

Flat-top electric griddles are available for grilling and searing. These griddles provide a large, flat cooking surface, ideal for breakfast service, burgers, or fajitas. Most models run on a single 13 amp plug, making them easy to position in most event kitchens. Even heat distribution across the griddle surface ensures consistent cooking.

You can also hire single and double induction hobs. Induction cooking provides fast, precise heat and remains cool to the touch around the pan. They offer high energy efficiency and suit front-of-house cooking demonstrations or areas where gas is not permitted. Gas boiling rings offer a powerful open flame for large pots, useful for soups, stews, or water for pasta.

Beyond these core items, Expo Hire provides specialist cooking equipment. This includes commercial rice cookers, able to prepare up to 20 litres of cooked rice. Rotisserie ovens are also available, ideal for slow-cooking whole chickens or other meats, providing visual appeal and a distinct flavour. These units operate on gas and feature multiple spits.

No security deposit

Expo Hire does not charge a security deposit. A free minor damage waiver covers minor damage and loss. Excessive or negligent damage is charged at 10 times the hire price. Full details in our terms and conditions.

Delivery and collection

Use the carriage calculator to find your nearest branch and get an accurate delivery quote. Heavy or bulky items may need a second delivery operative — this is shown at checkout when applicable. At checkout we show an itemised delivery cost before you confirm the order.

Advance deposit

For orders over £1,000, you can confirm a booking with a 25% deposit and pay the balance up to 28 days before delivery. The checkout offers this automatically. Full details in our terms and conditions.
