Bar Mitzvah Equipment Hire
A bar mitzvah celebration is a significant family occasion, and the reception that follows is often one of the larger events a family will organise. Guest lists of 100 to 300 are common, which means the equipment requirements are closer to a wedding than a birthday party. We supply furniture, linen, glassware, and catering equipment for bar mitzvah celebrations across England and Wales.
Round banqueting tables are the standard choice for bar mitzvah receptions because they seat larger groups while keeping conversation easy. We hire 5ft round tables (8 to 10 guests) and 6ft round tables (10 to 12 guests) alongside Chiavari chairs, which are widely used at formal Jewish celebrations. We stock Chiavari chairs in white, black, and limewash. For a top table, a rectangular banqueting table with Chiavari chairs is the standard approach.
White and gold linen is a popular combination for bar mitzvah events. We hire floor-length tablecloths in white and ivory, and table runners in gold and a range of other colours. Napkins in matching colours are available alongside. Chair covers with ribbon sashes can be added if you want to bring in a secondary colour on the seating.
We hire wine glasses, water glasses, champagne flutes, and full crockery and cutlery settings. For Kiddush, wine glasses and a clear table setting are the minimum requirement. We supply clean glassware and collect after the event. For bar mitzvahs with 150 or more guests, stock is available from our depots across England and Wales.
Our equipment is not certified kosher. If your caterer has specific requirements around equipment used for meat and dairy service, please discuss this with them before placing your order.
For a drinks reception before the seated dinner, poseur tables, bar stools, and a mobile bar work well. A dedicated reception area with a bar unit and poseur tables keeps the pre-dinner drinks separate from the main dining room and gives guests a clear arrival point. We also hire a full range of soft seating and LED furniture if the event has a lounge area or chill-out space.
Bar mitzvahs with live music or a DJ include a dance floor alongside the dining area, and a lounge or chill-out zone is a common addition for guests who want to step away from the entertainment. We hire sofas and soft seating for lounge areas, including two-seater and three-seater sofas arranged around a low coffee table. For events with a contemporary or themed aesthetic, LED furniture, including LED sofas, LED cube stools, and LED coffee tables, creates a distinct look for the lounge zone that works well under event lighting.
Poseur tables and bar stools placed around the perimeter of the dance floor give guests a vantage point and a place to leave drinks. LED poseur tables in colour-changing mode can be matched to the event colour scheme or set to cycle through a sequence during the dancing, tying the lounge zone to the wider room lighting.
All stock levels are shown live on the website. Orders can be placed online at any time without calling for availability. The standard hire period covers three days: delivery the day before your event and collection the day after. Expo Hire delivers across England and Wales from 11 depots.
For larger orders, the Large Order Deposit Scheme lets you reserve stock with a 25% deposit well ahead of the event date. A Minor Damage Waiver is available to cover accidental damage.
