Although the humble tumbler is one of the more basic styles of glasses we stock, they are also the most popular. Tumblers are mostly used as water glasses but are suitable for any kind of drink.

What do I need to know about tumbler hire?

Tumblers are straight glasses, with a heavy base to prevent being tipped over. The taller versions of these glasses are called hi-ball tumblers and typically come in a size of 12oz or 300ml. These glasses are commonly used for water, but can also be used for soft drinks, beer or cocktails. The smaller versions of these glasses are called lo-ball and tend to be wider in diameter. They are particularly used as whiskey glasses and are normally in 7.75oz and 11oz sizes.

Do I need to clean my tumbler hire before it is collected?

Washing up glasses after a big event is not only a pain but is also the time when glasses most frequently get broken while out on hire.

This is why we have made it compulsory for all glassware items to have the send it back dirty option added at checkout. All we ask customers to do is to ensure any liquids or debris is emptied from glasses prior to them being repacked ready for collection by our drivers.

How does delivery of water glass hire work?

All of our tumblers for hire are cleaned and checked prior to dispatch. We use specialised crates to ensure our glasses reach you in perfect condition. However, damage in transit does sometimes occur and we always recommend ordering a few extra tumblers than needed to allow for that.

Working out delivery costs is easy with Expo Hire. On the home page of this website is our carriage calculator; tap your postcode into that and our website will confirm not only whether we cover that postcode or not, but also which of our 11 branches is closest to you and the cost for delivery from that branch, as well as the list of possible extra charges.

Once you have filled your basket and confirmed your delivery dates and postcode in the checkout, we will show you an itemised cost for delivery so you know exactly what you’re paying for before you place your order.
