Professional event organisers and independent caterers require commercial-grade plates and bowls for high-volume service. Booking your tableware hire through Expo Hire gives you access to classic white china that meets the demands of corporate lunches, formal dinners, and private celebrations. You can build complete place settings or equip a buffet station by selecting individual items from our inventory. We supply named clients like the BBC, ITV, and Cambridge University with equipment for their functions.

Classic White Tableware Hire

Expo Hire stocks a core inventory of classic white crockery. This material offers durability and versatility for various event styles. You select exactly what your menu requires. Dinner plates measure 26cm in diameter. Side plates measure 19cm across. These suit bread rolls or smaller accompaniments. Soup or pasta bowls measure 23cm across and hold 300ml. Dessert plates measure 17cm, while dessert bowls measure 13cm with a capacity of 200ml. Teacups and saucers complete individual place settings for hot beverages. Every order includes a Free Minor Damage Waiver, covering accidental breakages during your event.

Beyond the core plates and bowls, you can source complementary items for specific menu requirements. Bread plates measure 20cm across. Egg cups support breakfast events. Milk jugs and sugar bowls accompany tea and coffee service, creating a cohesive look for your beverage station. We require no security deposit to secure your booking, and you can opt for a 25% advance deposit on orders over £1,000.

Serving Dishes and Buffet Equipment

Serving dishes support your main courses and buffet presentations. You can select various sizes of serving platters, including 30cm oval dishes and larger rectangular options. Round serving bowls come in 25cm and 30cm diameters. For buffet setups, chafing dishes keep food warm throughout your service. Insulated soup tureens hold 9 litres. Delivery costs from £40 ex-VAT. We calculate this by road distance from our nearest regional depot. On delivery day, you receive live vehicle tracking and an SMS ETA.

To complete your dining setup, you will need cutlery hire, glassware hire, and linen hire. All items arrive clean and ready for immediate use. After your event, our "Send It Back Dirty" service applies to all crockery. You only need to scrape food residue from the items before returning them unwashed in their crates. We handle the cleaning at our depot. Prices and live stock levels display directly on the site. Add your required tableware hire quantities to your basket and confirm your dates online.

No security deposit

Expo Hire does not charge a security deposit. A free minor damage waiver covers minor damage and loss. Excessive or negligent damage is charged at 10 times the hire price. Full details in our terms and conditions.

Delivery and collection

Advance deposit
