What is Send It Back Dirty?

Send It Back Dirty is a fixed-fee cleaning service. Pay a set fee at checkout and Expo Hire handles the cleaning. You return crockery, cutlery and glassware without washing it.

What is covered

The service covers crockery, cutlery, glassware and most catering equipment. For items that are particularly difficult to clean, such as barbecues and deep fat fryers, the service is mandatory and noted on the individual product page. For orders delivered to conference or exhibition centres, the service applies automatically to all items. Those venues typically lack the facilities for post-event washing, so the charge is applied at booking rather than after the event.

What is not covered

Linen is professionally laundered as part of the standard hire cost, so there is no Send It Back Dirty charge for linen. If linen is returned heavily stained or damaged beyond normal use, the damage policy applies. The service does not cover items returned with food sealed inside containers, or items broken beyond cleaning and requiring replacement.

The fee

The fee is calculated at checkout based on the items in your order and shown clearly before payment. There are no surprise charges added after collection.

Packing for return

Scrape food debris off items and empty any liquid before packing. Items do not need washing. Stack them the same way they were delivered: crockery with crockery, glassware in the supplied racks, cutlery in its trays. Mixing categories into random boxes risks breakage in transit. Linen should be dry and free of wax or glue before going into the supplied laundry bags.
