Festivals and Fetes

Outdoor table, chair, gazebo and catering equipment hire for summer fetes, craft fairs and food festivals across England and Wales.

Summer fetes, agricultural shows, craft fairs, street food festivals and village events all need equipment that can be set up outdoors, often on short notice and without much on-site storage. The equipment brief and the quantities both vary depending on the event format, with a small village fete having different needs from a three-day food festival.

Expo Hire hires outdoor event equipment for festivals and fetes across England and Wales. Orders are placed online with live stock availability and no minimum spend. Delivery charges are calculated at checkout by mileage from the depot.

Tables and seating for outdoor events

Trestle tables are the standard choice for fete stalls, food serving areas and craft displays. They fold flat, stack well for transport and set up without tools. Folding chairs pair with them for visitor seating and for stall holders who need to sit during the event. Picnic benches work well in open grass areas where visitors are eating and drinking informally.

For events with a bar or food court area, poseur tables and bar stools create a social standing-and-drinking space that uses less floor area than conventional seated dining.

Gazebos and shelter

Gazebos are one of the most important items for any outdoor event in England. They provide cover for stall holders, protect food from rain and sun, and define the event layout visually. Multi-gazebo events typically use a 3x3m or 4x4m footprint per stall, with separate larger gazebos for the food court or main stage area.

Gazebo side panels provide additional weather protection and are worth adding for events where stalls need to display stock or where catering equipment needs to stay dry. For multi-day events, gazebos are left in place for the full duration of the hire period.

Catering equipment

Food-focused festivals and fetes need catering equipment that works without mains kitchen access. Chafing dishes and hotplates keep food warm using fuel canisters, requiring no electricity connection. Urns and boilers handle hot drinks for catering stalls and hospitality areas. BBQ equipment suits informal outdoor food formats.

Glassware and crockery for events with food and drinks can be returned dirty using the Send It Back Dirty service. For large glassware orders at licensed bar events, the Large Order Deposit Scheme allows you to secure quantities ahead of full payment.

Bar equipment

Events with a licensed bar area need bar furniture alongside the glassware. Bar counters, bar stools and back bar shelving create a working bar space in a gazebo or marquee. Bar accessories including ice buckets, bottle openers and draining trays are available individually or as a bar set.

Delivery and collection

Equipment is delivered to the site and collected when the event is over. For multi-day events, a single hire period covers the full duration. Access to the delivery point needs to be confirmed when placing the order, particularly for events on public land or in rural locations without a permanent loading area. Expo Hire delivers across England and Wales.
