Forks

Forks for hire make an integral part of any place setting for an event or occasion where food is served. We have many different styles and types of fork available, ready to be delivered to the United Kingdom.

Forks for hire might not be the sexiest of products on our website, but they are a fundamental part of our cutlery hire offering and place settings would look just a little bizarre without them.

What do I need to know about fork hire?

There are two main types of fork used in a place setting. The larger is the table fork, which can be either paired with a knife or spoon or even used on its own to eat food. The smaller forks are known as dessert forks but these are used for starters and hors d’oeuvres as well as for puddings. We carry literally thousands of these in stock as they are needed in almost every cutlery hire order we will take.

The main differences in style for forks are in the patterning on the handle, however there is a contemporary trend for gold and silver coloured forks for that modern look.

Do I need to clean my fork hire before I return them?

Cleaning cutlery after a big function is not only a boring job but is also the time when cutlery is most likely to get lost while on hire.

It’s the main reason why we have made it compulsory for all cutlery items to have the send it back dirty option added at checkout. All a customer needs to do is to ensure that all food debris is scraped off cutlery before it’s repacked ready for collection.

Looking after your cutlery order

We clean and check every fork before banding them together in packs ready to go out for delivery. If you would like them polished we recommend giving them a little buff before use to give them some extra sheen. For larger orders, we always recommend adding a few extra just to cover any unexpected eventualities.

No need to worry about security deposits

There’s no need to worry about a damage deposit when placing an event hire order with Expo Hire. Instead, we run a free minor damage waiver scheme to cover minor damage or loss, so you don’t need to worry if you break the odd glass or plate. We do charge for excessive or negligent loss or damage at 10x the hire price. Please check our terms and conditions for full details.

How delivery and collection works

Working out delivery costs is easy with Expo Hire; simply use our carriage calculator to find which of our branches is near to you. Tap your postcode in and it will confirm not only whether we cover that postcode or not, but also which of our 11 branches is closest to you and the cost for delivery from that branch, as well as the list of possible extra charges.

Once you have filled your basket and confirmed your delivery dates and postcode in the checkout, we will show you an itemised cost for delivery so you know exactly what you’re paying for before you place your order.

Want to know when your delivery is coming? You can track your driver using our real time maps on the day of delivery and collection. Simply enter your postcode and order number into our order tracking page and find out when our driver will be with you. You can also use the link we send you by automated text.
