Bridgnorth is a town in Shropshire. It is connected to Wolverhampton by the A454, and to Telford and Kidderminster by the A442. The town is historic, with the earliest reference to it dating back to 895 when it was recorded that the Danes created a camp nearby. The town wasn't created until 11101 when the Earl of Shrewsbury moved to the area and constructed a castle and a church on the site of modern-day Bridgnorth. The remains of the castle are still a tourist attraction in the town. It also serves as a station on the Severn Valley Railway, and is home to the Bridgnorth Cliff Raiilway which links the lower part of High Town with the upper part.
