Hire Small Slate Platter - 11 x 7" for weddings and banquets. 280mm x 180mm. No deposit. Delivery across England and Wales.
Booking a small slate platter - 11 x hire gives professional caterers a dark, textured surface for presenting individual portions. Each board measures 280mm x 180mm and weighs 0.85kg. The natural black stone contrasts sharply with bright ingredients like artisan cheeses, cured meats, and fresh fruit. You can arrange these compact boards along buffet stations or place them directly in front of seated guests. Event organisers use them to serve canapés during corporate networking sessions and formal wedding receptions.
Catering teams rely on these dark stone surfaces when plating intricate desserts or rustic bread selections. The flat profile keeps food stable during service. You can line multiple platters across your table hire setup to create a continuous display area for grazing stations. Hospitality managers often select this size for VIP tasting menus, giving each guest their own dedicated serving board. The unpolished finish adds a tactile element to modern dining environments.
Returning unwashed catering items saves your staff hours of labour after a busy function. Expo Hire includes a "Send It Back Dirty" service with every small slate platter - 11 x hire order. Your team scrapes off any leftover food and packs the boards back into their transport crates. We handle the washing at our Birmingham depot. Because natural stone can chip during busy events, we also apply a Free Minor Damage Waiver to your booking. You never pay a security deposit when securing your equipment.
Planning a large-scale banquet requires precise coordination of your catering equipment hire inventory. We operate 11 regional depots across England and Wales, calculating delivery costs from £40 ex-VAT based on the road distance to your venue. On the morning of your event, our transport team provides live vehicle tracking and an SMS arrival time. You can track the exact location of your delivery using your order number and postcode.
Organising your next corporate dinner or festival hospitality suite takes just a few clicks. At £1.10 ex-VAT per unit, you can view live stock levels and exact pricing directly on this page. Add the required quantities to your basket and confirm your dates online to secure your inventory.

Unless the two person carriage charge has been paid for, deliveries and collections are made by a single driver, who has 15 minutes to deliver or collect your order.
Our drivers are not allowed to take items up or down stairs or into lifts, and all deliveries need to be made within 50 metres of the vehicle. Any delays beyond the standard delivery time caused by access issues or items not being ready will be charged at £120 per hour or part thereof.
If a driver arrives and delivery or collection is impossible then unfortunately a wasted journey charge will apply. You will be sent a live tracking link so you can monitor your delivery in real time — our drivers do not make phone calls to notify of arrival times.
If access to collecting the hired equipment is denied, blocked, or impassable, a wasted collection journey will be automatically charged. Any parking tickets issued to vehicles whilst executing a delivery or collection will be charged for whilst we appeal.
