Delivery Access Checklist

A failed or delayed delivery is almost always down to something we didn't know about in advance. Run through this checklist before your delivery date and let us know anything that applies to your address.

Access

  • Is there a loading bay, or will the driver need to use street parking or a kerb?
  • Is the delivery point step-free, or are there stairs between the vehicle and the room?
  • If there are stairs, how many flights, and is there a lift as an alternative?
  • Are there any doorway width restrictions for larger items (display cabinets, large tables)?

Parking and timing

  • Is there parking directly outside, or will the driver need to park further away and carry items further?
  • Is the address inside a Clean Air Zone or low traffic area with restricted vehicle access?
  • Is there a specific access window (e.g. venue only unlocks at a certain time)?

On the day

  • Who will be on site to receive the delivery and sign for it?
  • Is there a site contact number if the driver can't find the entrance or needs access instructions?
  • For venues with security or reception, have they been told to expect a delivery?

If any of the above is unusual for your address, add a note to your order or get in touch before delivery day; it helps your driver plan the drop and avoids delays on the day.
