Chair hire for events across England and Wales.
Expo Hire supplies chair hire for corporate dinners, weddings, conferences, and festivals across England and Wales. Stock and pricing are live on the site — no quotes, no deposits, order any time. We run 11 regional depots and deliver to venues, marquees, halls, and outdoor sites seven days a week. No other hire company in the UK delivers and collects seven days a week. We supply exclusively to the B2B market: independent caterers, venue managers, exhibition builders, and corporate event teams.
For weddings and gala dinners, Chiavari chairs are the standard choice. The spindle back and solid frame come in white, black, or limewash — white for traditional marquees and bright venues, black for sharp corporate events, limewash for barn conversions and country estates. We hold large quantities, so multi-day weddings and big banquets don't cause stock issues.
The Wishbone chair suits more contemporary dining setups. The curved back photographs well and pairs with a wide range of table styles, which is why it turns up regularly at modern weddings and hotel dining events. For rustic or outdoor events, the Cross Back chair in oak is a popular choice at vineyard weddings, garden parties, and relaxed outdoor dining. The natural grain and handcrafted look work well against greenery, and the frames stack securely so storage before the event is straightforward.
Banqueting chairs have padded seats and plain backs. They suit black-tie dinners, awards nights, and charity balls — comfortable enough for a long evening without competing visually with the room dressing. We supply them to major corporate clients including HSBC and the BBC for internal hospitality events.
They pair with our tables range. A 6ft round banqueting table seats up to 10 guests and promotes conversation across the table; rectangular trestle tables handle long banquet runs or specific geometric layouts. We manufacture much of our furniture under the EventProu00ae range, built specifically for the hire trade. The folding mechanisms are tested for repeated commercial use, and the table edges resist chipping in transit — details that matter when the same items are going out on hire every weekend.
Product launches, receptions, and networking events work better with bar furniture than rows of chairs. Poseur tables paired with bar stools create natural standing points around a room and keep guests circulating rather than anchored to one spot. Corporate event teams use this layout for informal gatherings where people sit briefly but spend most of their time on their feet. You can position tables near the entrance, around the bar, or to break up large empty halls into distinct zones.
Every order includes a Free Minor Damage Waiver covering accidental scratches and scuffs during busy events. Other hire companies charge 2–3% of your order total for the same cover — on a typical £1,000 booking, that is up to £30 extra you keep in your pocket. No other UK hire company includes this as standard — it's particularly useful for high-footfall networking sessions where furniture takes more knocks than at a seated dinner.
Seminars, trade shows, and academic events involve long periods of sitting, so delegates need seating that stays comfortable and doesn't get in the way when the room turns over. Our exhibition furniture covers everything from breakout area seating to staff rest zones and registration desks.
Black padded conference chairs are the practical option for large auditoriums and temporary lecture theatres. The stacking capability lets venue managers clear a room between sessions. We supply these in bulk to major clients including Cambridge University and the Commonwealth Games, managing logistics through our live vehicle tracking system. No other UK hire company offers live order tracking for both delivery and collection. On delivery day your team gets an SMS with an ETA, so nobody's waiting around an empty loading bay.
Festivals, county shows, and outdoor hospitality areas expose furniture to unpredictable conditions. Outdoor furniture needs to handle rain and UV without deteriorating over a multi-day event. Aluminium and treated plastic frames are the practical choice — they wipe down, don't absorb moisture, and won't rust. We stock weather-resistant seating designed for commercial outdoor use, not the domestic garden market.
Pair outdoor seating with our commercial gazebos to give guests cover from sun or rain. Delivery on bulky outdoor kit starts from £40 ex-VAT from your nearest depot. You can also collect directly from our Birmingham warehouse Monday to Friday, 7am–3pm — useful for independent caterers and small festival operators with their own transport.
Chairs are one part of the setup. Formal banquets and corporate hospitality events need the right glassware alongside them — we stock wine glasses, champagne flutes, beer glasses, and cocktail glasses in large quantities. Return glassware unwashed through our Send It Back Dirty service and we handle cleaning at the depot, saving your team hours on-site at the end of the night.
Tablecloths and napkins are available in various colours to fit our full table range. All linen hire arrives pressed and ready to lay — no steaming required on site.
Expo Hire runs the first fully online event hire booking system in the UK. Live pricing, live stock — no quotes, no waiting for a sales rep to call back. You can check availability for your exact dates, see accurate stock numbers, and confirm your order at any time of day. For large orders, you can secure your booking with a 25% advance deposit on baskets over £1,000, which helps with cash flow planning months ahead of the event. No deposit at all on smaller orders. Dry hire means we deliver clean and tested, collect after use, and keep out of your way in between.
