Weddings with a sit-down meal need round banqueting tables for each guest table. A round table seats eight to ten guests comfortably. A wedding for 100 guests requires 10 to 12 round tables for the breakfast, a top table, and usually a separate table for the cake and gift display. Add poseur tables for the drinks reception area.
Conferences use rectangular trestle tables in a classroom or boardroom layout. A classroom-style conference for 60 delegates requires approximately 15 rectangular tables at three people per table side. Boardroom layouts use fewer, longer tables or a run of trestles placed end to end.
