Rope and Post Barrier Hire

Hire chrome, black, or brass rope and post barriers. Choose velvet or twisted ropes in various colours for queue lines, VIP areas, and event demarcation.

Start Planning Your Event Today

Organising an event with numerous attendees requires clear guidance for guests. Barriers define pathways, manage attendee flow, and establish distinct VIP areas. These barriers direct visitors and maintain order at any gathering, from product launches to formal galas.

Barrier Post and Rope Finishes and Materials

You choose from three stanchion finishes: polished chrome, black, and classic brass. Each finish provides a different look to match your event theme. Chrome stanchions suit corporate functions and trade shows, offering a neutral, reflective appearance. Black stanchions deliver a contemporary or formal aesthetic. Event organisers select them for award ceremonies or product launches. Brass stanchions provide a traditional appearance. They suit VIP entrances, heritage venues, or high-end receptions.

You can select from velvet or twisted ropes. Velvet ropes come in rich red, black, and blue. Twisted ropes, available in red and black, offer a structured, formal line. All ropes attach with snap hooks to the stanchion loops. The posts stand 95cm tall with a 32cm diameter base. Each rope measures 1.5 metres in length. You can hire posts and ropes separately, allowing you to create a custom barrier layout for your venue.

Designing Effective Crowd Management Layouts

You design layouts for guest management using barriers. For queue lines, position stanchions at 1.5-metre intervals, connecting them with ropes to form single or multiple lane systems. This guides attendees towards registration desks, ticket booths, or food service areas. For VIP zones, place stanchions around the perimeter of a dedicated area, separating special guests from general access. This defines areas at private parties, exhibition stands, or gala dinners. Barriers also serve to direct foot traffic around displays, restrict access to staff-only zones, or outline pathways within a venue. Consider the overall flow of people and the access points you need to create. A well-planned layout guides guests to permitted areas and keeps them clear of restricted sections.

Practical Considerations for Event Organisers

Each stanchion weighs 6kg. It provides a base. The weighted base keeps the barrier upright in crowded areas. Setup requires no tools; you screw the post into the base and attach your chosen ropes. This modular design means you adapt your barrier system throughout an event, responding to changing crowd dynamics or opening new areas. For larger events, you might require many stanchions and ropes to create queuing systems or demarcations. Expo Hire maintains stock to meet large demands. You get the equipment for your event.
