Need a VIP area for your next event or special occasion? These red barrier ropes with gold ends are perfect for creating that exclusive look. The ropes link easily to posts or walls via hooks on their gold ends. Made of thick velour, they’ll add a classy touch to your space.
Designed to be used with our chrome or gold posts (hired separately).
How do I work out how much barrier hire I need?
While setting up is easy, figuring out how many ropes and posts you’ll need is more of an art. For a straight line, you’ll always need one more post than ropes. For more complex setups, sketch it out first to ensure you’ve got it right. Though the ropes are 1.5m long, they should “sag” a little, so plan for about 1.2m per rope.
Tensabarriers are easier to manage. They come with a post and a stretchable fabric that recoils when not clipped to another post. Measure the area you need to block off and divide by 2m to get the number of posts needed. You can attach up to three posts to one tensabarrier, making it easy to block multiple sections.
Picket fences are 6ft (1.83m) long and don’t interconnect. They’re mainly decorative, so leave some space between them. To figure out how many you’ll need, take the total length of the area you want to enclose and divide by 2m per picket fence, remembering to leave extra space for entrances and exits.
There are many different styles of barrier hire, which work for a number of different spaces and setups. We have three main types available which are ropes and posts, tensabarriers and picket fences.
Rope and post barrier hire is often used for events where a VIP space needs to be sectioned off, for example a red carpet entrance area. While the ropes and posts cordon off space, they are more for decorative value than any kind of security.
We offer rope barrier hire in a multitude of colours, as well as both chrome and gold-coloured metal posts. Ropes have a clip at each end to allow them to be attached to posts. These clips can also be in chrome and gold-coloured configurations.
Tensabarriers don’t have quite the same VIP look like ropes and posts do but are a bit more secure and are great for constructing queueing areas. Each tensabarrier post comes with a 2m retractable tape which can be attached to another tensabarrier, which can quickly be put together to section off space.
Our picket fences for hire are a great decorative way of sectioning space into areas and are particularly useful for big festivals and exhibitions. Our fences are painted white and are free-standing in supplied “feet” but cannot be linked to each other.

Unless the two person carriage charge has been paid for, deliveries and collections are made by a single driver, who has 15 minutes to deliver or collect your order.
Our drivers are not allowed to take items up or down stairs or into lifts, and all deliveries need to be made within 50m of the vehicle. If it takes the driver longer then you will be charged £12.50 per additional 15 minutes. If a driver arrives and delivery or collection is impossible then unfortunately an additional carriage charge will be added to your order.
If there are likely to be issues with regards to location, staff onsite or the size of the order, then it's imperative you advise us BEFORE you place your order. Please note that our vans cannot go off-road onto grass or dirt areas, particularly when it has been wet due to the chances of the vehicle getting stuck.
As our drivers are multiple drop drivers, any issues with your delivery or collection of your order could result in issues for other customers. We ask that you are mindful of this when we are delivering or collecting your order.
