The Monastery Manchester (known locally as Gorton Monastery) is a Grade II* listed former Franciscan friary in Gorton in Manchester. It was designed by the Victorian architect Edward Welby Pugh and built in 1866-1872. It is a unique and inspiring venue for hire, and is used as an event space for weddings, conferences, banquets, meetings and memorials. It is located a short drive from Manchester city centre, and has ample free parking. The venue has won over 30 industry awards, including top awards at the 'Oscars' of the venue industry, M&IT.
