Jewish Event and Celebration Hire
Jewish celebrations cover a wide range of occasions throughout the year, from weekly Shabbat dinners to annual festivals, lifecycle events, and family milestones. Each has its own format and equipment requirements. We supply furniture, tableware, linen, and catering equipment for Jewish events of all sizes across England and Wales.
For a large Shabbat dinner or Yom Tov meal, we hire rectangular banqueting tables that push together for a long communal table, alongside chairs and full place settings. White linen tablecloths and napkins are standard. We hire wine glasses, water glasses, crockery, and cutlery in volume for groups from 20 to several hundred.
A Seder requires a long table layout where all guests can follow the same order of service. We hire 8ft banqueting tables that extend into a continuous run, alongside chairs and full table settings. Extra place settings and glasses for Elijah and guests who arrive after the start of the Seder are straightforward to add.
Bar and Bat Mitzvah receptions often draw 100 to 300 guests. The weekend can cover a Friday night dinner and a Shabbat lunch after the morning service, plus an evening celebration, each requiring its own setup. We supply round tables and formal chairs for the seated dinners and rectangular tables for buffet runs. Tableware and linen are available to match, along with high tables and poseur stools for the evening event.
Because these events often run across more than one day, we can deliver everything at once for the full weekend. Discuss your event schedule with us and we will put together a delivery and collection plan that works around any Shabbat restrictions at your venue.
A bris is a smaller gathering, held at a family home or synagogue hall, with 20 to 80 guests. The format is a standing reception with seating available for those who need it. We hire folding tables for food and drink, and a mix of chairs and bar stools, with tableware in appropriate quantities. If you need a seated element, rectangular banqueting tables and chairs are available in smaller packs.
Community Rosh Hashanah dinners and post-Yom Kippur break-fasts draw large numbers at synagogues and Jewish community centres. We hire rectangular banqueting tables for communal seating and full tableware to match. For break-fast events with a buffet element, we supply chafing dishes and serving equipment.
These events often take place in venues with limited storage. We deliver equipment the day before and arrange collection after the event, with times set to avoid Yom Tov.
Community Chanukah parties range from small family evenings to large communal events with several hundred attendees. For informal standing events, we hire cocktail tables and bar furniture. For seated dinners, we supply round tables and chairs with white linen. Where events include children, we can add children's chairs and lower tables to the order.
For pre-wedding celebrations and engagement parties, we supply the same range as for a wedding reception: round tables, formal chairs, linen, glassware, and catering equipment. Guest lists for these events can be as large as the wedding itself.
Jewish weddings follow a chuppah ceremony with a cocktail reception and a formal seated dinner. We do not supply the chuppah structure, but we cover the furniture and tableware for the reception and dinner. For the cocktail hour, we hire high tables and poseur stools. For the dinner, we supply round tables and formal banqueting chairs with full place settings and linen.
Wedding guest lists of 150 to 400 are common. We carry stock in sufficient quantities for large weddings and supply a single delivery covering all the equipment you need. Where the venue requires an early-morning collection or a specific delivery window, contact us to discuss.
For communal events at a synagogue, Jewish community centre, or hired hall, we hire trestle tables and stacking chairs, along with catering equipment in volume. We deliver and collect, and we work around the constraints of events that cannot set up on Shabbat or Yom Tov.
Our equipment is not certified kosher. For events with strict kosher catering requirements, please discuss equipment usage with your mashgiach or caterer before placing your order.
We deliver to venues across England and Wales. Delivery charges depend on distance from our depot, and we ask for a minimum of five working days' notice for most orders. We can often work with shorter lead times for smaller quantities.
To get a quote, send us your event date, venue postcode, guest numbers, and a description of what you need. We will come back with a full equipment list and pricing. You can adjust quantities up until two working days before delivery.
Contact us with your event format, guest numbers, and date and we will put together the right equipment list.
