Commercial Gazebo Hire Guide

Gazebo Hire Guide

Commercial aluminium gazebos provide covered space for outdoor events. The frame spec matters — a domestic garden gazebo is not built for repeated event use.

3m × 3m gazebo

9m² of covered space. Fits a standard parking space footprint. Typical uses: single market or catering stall, small outdoor seating cluster (6–8 people with a beer bench set), bar station or reception desk.

Two people can raise and position the frame. Requires 4 × 15kg leg weight bases as minimum ballast on hard standing.

Best for: single-pitch events, small outdoor seating areas, pop-up bars

3m × 6m gazebo

18m² of covered space. Two linked bays in one frame — no join or gap at the ridge. Typical uses: catering station with counter and prep space behind, covered seating area for 16–20 guests, large reception canopy.

Heavier than the 3×3 — three people needed for assembly and loading. Requires 6 × 15kg leg weight bases.

Best for: outdoor bars, catering stations, large covered seating areas

Commercial vs domestic spec

The gazebos we hire use 50mm hexagonal aluminium leg profiles. Domestic gazebos typically use 30–40mm square or round section. The difference matters in a commercial event context — the hex profile concentrates rigidity at the corner connectors where bending stress is highest under wind loading. Connectors are heavy cast metal, not lightweight plastic.

Anchoring

On hard standing (paving, tarmac, concrete)

Use 15kg leg weight bases. Four per 3×3m frame; six per 3×6m frame. Fit weights before raising the frame. In exposed or windy locations, use additional weights.

On grass

Ground anchor spikes can be used through the leg feet on soft ground. On very wet or soft grass, place weight bases on a flat board to prevent sinking. Do not leave canopies erected unattended in high winds.

Heaters under gazebos

Use mushroom patio heaters only inside a gazebo canopy — the compact downward-facing head maintains safe clearance from the fabric. Pyramid heaters (220cm tall) require 0.5m clearance above the burner and cannot safely operate under most canopies. See the Heating Guide for fuel consumption and placement detail.

Canopy fabric

White 600D polyester with PVC coating. Water-resistant and UV-stabilised. Handles light to moderate rain well. For heavy sustained rain, treat seams with seam sealant or plan supplementary cover. Sides are not included as standard — ask us if side panels are needed for your event.
