East London is the part of London which lies east of the ancient City of London and north of the River Thames. It consists of areas that historically lay in the counties of Essex and Middlesex. The East End of London is the historic core of east London, although the area this refers to is quite loose in definition. The E postcode covers much of East London, although some parts of Hackney are in the N postcode along with Hoxton. Unlike West London and the City which have more than 30 bridges across the Thames, East London only has Tower Bridge at the innermost edge. There are road tunnels at Rotherhithe and Blackwell, as well as foot tunnels to Greenwich and Woolwich.
In recent times, there have been major redevelopments such as the Olympic Park in Stratford and the Docklands area which have brought much needed investment to the inner parts of East London.
At this time, only a portion of this area is within our service radius, so it is important to check our carriage calculator with your event postcode to ensure we can help you. We try to improve our service radius frequently, so please feel free to check back at a later date.
We're proud to deliver event hire to venues throughout East London. Some of the items we can deliver include:
East London Furniture Rental
Chair hire might seem a simple thing to sort out but the truth is there is no such thing as a “simple chair for hire”. We rent chairs to events, functions and companies across North London and Middlesex in all kinds of scenarios.
Take conferences as an example. A conference can be a really important event for the organiser to get right, so the chairs that delegates sit in need to be perfect. Our conference chairs for hire are not only stackable and durable, but also comfy – something that guests will appreciate when they’re using them all day.
Another kind of event where guests will need comfortable chairs are weddings. Wedding receptions can be long affairs that go on into the night so having the right kind of wedding chair hire is essential. We have lots of different styles at a price which is right to help you meet your budget.
Outdoor events can be the hardest of all to deal with. Outdoor chairs for hire need to not only be comfortable but able to handle London weather. Our samsonite folding chairs are great for large events needing hundreds of chairs while more intimate affairs can benefit from our aluminium and rattan ranges.
East London Barrier Hire
There are many different styles of barrier hire, which work for a number of different spaces and setups. We have three main types available which are ropes and posts, tensabarriers and picket fences.
Rope and post barrier hire is often used for events where a VIP space needs to be sectioned off, for example a red carpet entrance area. While the ropes and posts cordon off space, they are more for decorative value than any kind of security.
We offer rope barrier hire in a multitude of colours, as well as both chrome and gold-coloured metal posts. Ropes have a clip at each end to allow them to be attached to posts. These clips can also be in chrome and gold-coloured configurations.
Tensabarriers don’t have quite the same VIP look like ropes and posts do but are a bit more secure and are great for constructing queueing areas. Each tensabarrier post comes with a 2m retractable tape which can be attached to another tensabarrier, which can quickly be put together to section off space.
Our picket fences for hire are a great decorative way of sectioning space into areas and are particularly useful for big festivals and exhibitions. Our fences are painted white and are free-standing in supplied “feet” but cannot be linked to each other.
East London Kitchen Hire
Setting up any kind of kitchen requires some careful choices to make sure equipment is not only right for the food to be cooked but also for the setting it is being used in. Oven hire is one of the bigger components of any kitchen and getting that wrong can be an expensive mistake.
At Expo Hire London we offer the choice of both LPG and electric ovens for hire; each of which are designed for different usage. Electric ovens for hire are for indoor areas where they can be used to bake, roast and grill food easily. However, because electric ovens need lots of power to run they cannot be used outdoors. The wattage required by electric ovens can easily trip temporary power supplies such as generators and extension leads. The portability of LPG bottles make LPG ovens the perfect choice for usage outside; even an oven with powerful burners like our six burner oven can happily run off an LPG bottle. However, LPG ovens are not designed to be used indoors due to the potential lack of ventilation of exhaust fumes.
Offering high quality stock has always been something that we pride ourselves upon and because of this we frequently replace our ovens with new ones. This is particularly important with ovens which are often the main workhorse of a kitchen and allows our customers to order from us with peace of mind.
East London Gazebo Hire
The last thing you want if you’re holding a streetfood event in North London is the rain causing havoc. Having space under cover is a necessity when hosting an outdoor function of any kind – especially if you’re the one who is going to be stuck outside all day. A pop up gazebo for hire from us can help make sure your event can be a success even if the weather doesn’t want to play ball.
We deliver gazebos to every conceivable kind of outdoor event and have both large gazebos for hire and smaller ones in stock. All of our pop up gazebos for rent come complete with side walls and weights so you don’t have to worry about sourcing any accessories for them.
The pop up gazebo packages for hire we offer are made with commercial specifications in mind and come with durable coverings and sturdy poles. This means that the gazebos we offer are not that suitable for formal events where presentation is of utmost importance, but it also means that our gazebos aren’t cheap and flimsy either. They are also incredibly easy to erect – simply telescope the frame apart until it reaches full size, extend the legs and then put the cover on top.
