Portable Space Heater 15kW is the main choice for enclosed marquees, dining tents and temporary hospitality spaces. One unit covers around 150m² as a starting point and warms the air through the structure, which makes it a better fit than patio heaters when the walls are closed.
Mushroom and pyramid patio heaters suit open-sided marquees, entrance canopies, courtyards and smoking areas. They create a heat zone around the heater and work best where air can circulate. Check the marquee supplier or venue rules before using gas heaters inside any structure.
Infrared gazebo heaters warm people and surfaces rather than the air around them. They suit smaller marquees, covered walkways, bars and dining areas where heat would escape from an open space. Each unit needs a standard 13-amp socket within reach.
For enclosed marquees, start with roughly 1kW for every 10m², then increase the allowance if the weather looks cold or the structure loses heat. For open-sided marquees, size the order around the occupied zones rather than the full footprint.

For a 9m x 12m marquee with 80 to 100 guests, four patio heaters around the perimeter is a common starting point if the sides stay open. Add one more heater for each extra 20 to 25 guests, or move to space heaters if the structure will be closed.
Gas heaters need ventilation. Do not run LPG heaters in a sealed marquee. Keep clearance from linings, drapes and decorations, and confirm the venue allows gas heating. Gas cylinders are not included with hire, so budget propane from a local supplier. For a six-hour evening event with four gas heaters running throughout, two 13kg cylinders per heater is a safe margin.
Electric heaters need the power to match. Infrared units run from a 13-amp socket. Space heaters need a circuit that can handle the load. Check the venue supply or generator plan before you book.
