Choosing between a Tallboy and a Wideboy display cabinet for your exhibition stand depends on product size and the footprint you can spare.
Display cabinets at exhibitions serve two purposes: protecting products from handling and presenting them in a way that invites close inspection. The right cabinet depends on what you are displaying, how much floor space your stand has, and whether the display needs to be browsed from the front or viewed from multiple sides.
\n\nThe Tallboy Display Cabinet with Single Door is a narrow, floor-to-ceiling cabinet with a single front door. Its height makes it useful for displaying tall items, stacking smaller items across multiple shelves, or showcasing branded merchandise in a way that draws the eye upward and creates vertical interest on the stand.
\n\nOn a stand with limited floor space, the Tallboy is the more efficient choice. Its narrow footprint means it can be placed against a panel or wall without occupying the usable area of the stand. A single Tallboy on a 3x3 stand creates a display point without compromising the stand's walking space.
\n\nThe Wideboy Display Cabinet with Drawer is a lower, wider unit with a drawer at the base. The wider shelf area suits products that need to be spread out for comparison, or collections of smaller items displayed side by side. The drawer provides additional storage at the stand, which is useful for leaflets, spare stock, or personal items.
\n\nThe Wideboy also works as a low display counter. Visitors can lean over the top to inspect items up close, which suits jewellery, ceramics, smaller tech products, and anything where detail matters.
\n\nIf your products are tall or you need to display many items in a small footprint, choose the Tallboy. If your products are small and benefit from being spread out for side-by-side comparison, choose the Wideboy.
\n\nMany exhibitors hire one of each. A Tallboy at the back of the stand for branded merchandise, and a Wideboy at the front for the core product range. Pair either cabinet with the Cabinet Display Fridge if you also need chilled storage on the stand.
\n\nStandard hire is 3 days. Delivery covers England and Wales. Both cabinet types arrive clean, assembled, and ready to load. For exhibition hall deliveries, confirm access arrangements with the organiser's official logistics contractor before booking.

Display cabinets with internal LED lighting make product displays visible from a distance across a busy exhibition floor. Most exhibitors use a combination of a lit tallboy for hero products and a wideboy for supporting product ranges. Position the tallboy at the front of the stand facing the aisle for maximum visibility.
Display cabinets are lockable. Bring your own padlock if you are leaving the stand unattended overnight. For high-value exhibits, add a loop of steel cable through the cabinet base and the stand frame. Expo Hire supplies the cabinet — security of contents is the exhibitor's responsibility.
