The free waiver covers accidental minor damage. This includes surface scratches on tables, scuff marks on chairs, and small chips in glassware. We anticipate this level of wear and tear when hundreds of guests occupy a venue space.
The waiver does not cover deliberate destruction. It does not cover missing items. It does not cover equipment that returns broken beyond any reasonable repair. We handle severe cases with a direct replacement invoice. We never hold your money in advance because we operate a strict no security deposit policy.
Most event hire suppliers charge a non-refundable damage waiver premium. They calculate this as 2 to 3% of your total order value. On a £1,000 order, you lose £30. On a £5,000 order, you lose £150. They add this fee to your invoice automatically.
