Expo Hire can fulfil hire orders with a few days' notice, subject to stock availability. The earlier you contact the team, the more options are open, but short-notice orders are possible and handled regularly.
\n\nBefore calling or emailing, visit expohire.com to check whether the items you need are available. Product pages show current stock levels. If an item shows as available, it can usually be included in a short-notice order.
\n\nIf an item is out of stock, the team can suggest alternatives. A folding chair is not the same as a chiavari chair, but for some events the difference matters less than others.
\n\nOnce you have confirmed the items you need, place the order without delay. Short-notice stock is held on a first-come basis. An item available at 9am may not be available by 11am if another order comes in.
\n\nFor same-week orders, phone contact is faster than email. The team can confirm availability and book the delivery slot in one conversation.
\n\nHaving the following information ready speeds up the booking: the event date, the delivery address and postcode, an access note for the driver (road type, height restrictions, where to unload), the items needed with quantities, and a collection time or the day after the event.
\n\nThe more detail you provide upfront, the less back-and-forth is needed. For delivery queries, Expo Hire's delivery information page covers charges and logistics.
\n\nIf your event date has any flexibility, even by one day, tell the team. Delivery slots on Fridays and Saturdays fill first. A Thursday or Sunday delivery for a weekend event may be available when Friday is not.
\n\nIf you can accept collection the morning after the event rather than the same evening, this opens up more options. Flexibility on both delivery and collection increases the chance of a successful short-notice booking.
\n\nFor larger orders placed at short notice, Expo Hire's large order deposit scheme may apply. This scheme exists to confirm stock and delivery for significant orders that require advance planning.
\n\nIf your order is for 100 or more guests' worth of equipment, mention this upfront. The team can advise on whether a deposit is needed and what the confirmation process looks like.
\n\nShort-notice hire is most likely to succeed for: chairs and folding tables (high stock, fast fulfilment) and standard crockery and glassware (large quantities held). Items that are harder to fulfil on short notice include chiavari chairs (high demand), linen in specific colours, and large marquees.
\n\nIf those items are non-negotiable, book as far ahead as possible. For everything else, contact the team and check availability before assuming the order cannot be fulfilled.
\n\nExpo Hire's most commonly available short-notice items come from the core hire ranges. The chairs for hire range and the table hire range hold the deepest stock levels and are most often available even for same-week orders.
\n\nFor the best chance of fulfilling a short-notice order, build the core of your hire list around these items first and add specialist items from there.
