Case Study: Jaguar Land Rover Conference Chair Contract
Jaguar Land Rover needed 1,000 padded conference chairs delivered and set up across three separate Midlands venues — their engine factory, main site and battery factory — all at the same time, for a product launch. This is a recurring contract.
A simultaneous multi-site event has no margin for staggered delivery or re-allocation. All three venues needed their chairs in place before the event started. That meant three separate delivery teams, three coordinated setups, and enough stock to cover the full 1,000-chair requirement with no shortfall at any site.
For a product launch at a company like Jaguar Land Rover, the events are high-profile, the attendees are senior, and anything going wrong with the room setup reflects on the organiser. The logistics had to be invisible on the day.
Three separate delivery vehicles, three crews, all dispatched to hit their respective venues at the same time. Each team had the room layout, the chair count and a contact on site. Setup was completed and signed off at all three venues before the event began.
After the event, we returned to all three sites for full collection and removal.
JLR runs product launches and large internal events on a regular basis. Having an established supplier who knows the sites, the access requirements and the setup standards means there is no briefing process each time. We know what is expected, we have the stock reserved, and we deliver.
Recurring contracts also get better pricing than one-off bookings — JLR gets a preferential rate in exchange for the forward visibility.
