Water jugs get forgotten in the planning until the venue is dry by the main course. Here's what to order so tables don't run out.
Place one jug per table of 6-8 guests, refilled between courses. For a conference or exhibition stand, one jug per 8-10 delegates covers a half-day session without staff constantly topping up.
Guests drink less water standing than seated, since most are holding a wine or soft drink instead. One jug per 15-20 guests at a station or bar area is enough, positioned somewhere easy to reach without queuing.
Our 1.3L glass table jugs suit formal dining settings where the jug sits on the table as part of the place setting. The smaller 250ml bistro jug works well for individual place settings or smaller tables where a large jug looks out of proportion.
Match your jug count to your glassware order - a table needs one water glass per guest in addition to any wine or champagne glasses. Ice buckets keep jugs topped up cold through service without a trip back to the kitchen.
